TeenWORKS
Program Details
Schedule
The TeenWORKS Program meets on Tuesdays from 2:15-4:30 starting on December 3rd, 2024. The program is not open on school vacations, early dismissal days, superintendent conference days, or holidays. When Webutuck cancels all after school activities, our program is also closed and a message to that effect is given on the “all-call” announcement. Attendance is not mandatory. Please RSVP seven days in advance.
Location and Transportation
NECC TeenWORKS provides transportation for students to and from our programming location – Amenia Town Hall. Parents are able to pick up their teen at 4:30 at Amenia Town Hall or may allow teens to be transported home by an NECC staff member 4:30-5:00 pm. Please note if your child requests a drop-off at a location other than their listed home address, you will be contacted for prior permission. We expect youth to communicate regularly with staff regarding permission of participation, change in drop-off or pickup location, medical information changes, or any other concerns. Note that students with a valid drivers license and permission from their parents may drive themselves to and from the program.
Cost
Our program is free to any Webutuk student grades 9-12. Transportation and technology are provided.
Staff
Our staff are fingerprinted and cleared through two criminal databases before they are allowed to work with children. They are trained in CPR and first aid and annually complete 15 hours of additional training in 6 different areas.
