Benefits to employers: As a Teen Jobs partner, you'll make an important contribution to the local economy by helping to train the future workforce. Wages are paid by NECC. In return, you will...
• Offer meaningful experience — so that interns can learn to work in your field.
• Assign a mentor to interns — mentors teach interns workplace rules and regulations and the specific tasks required of the job. They also help them establish good working relationships with co-workers and resolve problems in positive ways. The mentoring relationship builds the intern's confidence and pride in completing a job to the best of his or her abilities.
The Teen Jobs Program extends an invitation to local businesses and organizations interested in promoting job openings on NECC's website. To submit a response, click here: Form for current job opportunities you are looking to promote.

Community Partnership with Schools and Business History:
CPSB was created by the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Center (ERVK) in 2001 to provide jobs and jobs skills training for Dutchess County teenagers. The program also aims to improve academic achievement and broaden career opportunities for our youth. Five school districts — Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Dover, Pawling, and Webutuck — have participated so far, and more than 500 students countywide have completed paid internships through the program.
