Growing, Learning, and Thriving: Family Support Program at NECC Reaches Out to Parents and Children
On Mondays, it’s Mom’s Morning Out, a time for you to get a few things done, or just take a break. Our talented and trained child care staff plays games, reads, plans creative activities, provides loving care for your child. Preregistration recommended as we have a maximum of 8 slots; 9:30-noon. For children who are 1 and walking, up to age 5. $4/first child, $2/each additional.
Wednesdays & Fridays is Growing Together, a parenting support group and playgroup. The first hour you and your children play together, and for the second hour, our staff will stay with the children while all the parents have a chance to discuss anything on your mind from child care to self-care to the strains young children can place on a marriage. Our wonderful family support facilitator makes sure that everyone feels safe and supported. 10am-noon.
On Wednesdays, the program runs in eight-week sessions with pre-registration required; a new session starts every two months. Fridays is drop-in - no pre-registration necessary. For babies through age 5, with their parent or caregiver. Call for current fees (and sliding scales are always available!)
Fridays are drop in (though if it fills up, calling ahead to reserve your spot would be wise!) - anyone, including those already in the Wednesday group, are welcome to participate. $5/day.
