Farmer's MarketNECC is proud to be the sponsor of Millerton's newest attraction, a farmer's market, Saturdays from Memorial Day through Columbus Day!

Spearheaded by volunteer Karen Kisslinger, this project seeks to promote and assist local farms and promote the value of food grown and made without chemicals, both for human health and the environment. (Most of our growers are either organic or otherwise "clean-grown" - all will provide a statement of growing practices upon request!

Teens at the Market

NECC Student Project

Students staffing NECC’s table are participants in our job training project, the Community Partnership with Schools and Business.  Their job this summer is working at the market, visiting and helping on many of the participating farms, and running their own entrepreneurial business, purchasing products from local farmers and producers and selling them at the market. Any profits will be reinvested in the program.  They are selling:

Honey, soap & candles - Pine Hill Farm, Sharon

Goat cheese, goat yogurt & ricotta - Four Brothers, Millerton

Cow’s milk yogurt - Hammond Dairy, Amenia

Pickles, sauerkraut & kim-chi made through lacto-fermentation- Adamah project, Falls Village, CT

and vegetables donated by local gardeners
